Times to Seek Comfort in God

Posted on: 11 February 2022

Regardless of whether or not you're religious, you should consider seeking comfort in God when you experience hardships in life. If the process is new to you, it can seem like a strange idea at first. However, you will likely be surprised at how helpful it can be.

With many problems in life, there are real-life solutions that you shouldn't ignore. However, knowing that there's a higher power and seeing the bigger picture will help you immensely.

Depression

When you feel depressed, it's hard to find a reason to get out of bed in the morning. You feel hopeless and without purpose. In these times, prayer may help you find the self-worth and motivation that you require.

Anxiety

When you suffer from anxiety, you feel anxious and unsettled constantly. It makes it hard for you to do regular everyday activities.

If you're experiencing anxiety, you should try to seek comfort in God. Sometimes knowing that there is something out there that is bigger and more important than all of us can be soothing and help calm your nerves.

Grief

You may experience grief from a wide variety of causes. It could be a breakup, a friendship ending, or a loved one passing away. Unfortunately, it takes time for grief to wear off. If you seek wisdom in God in these times, it may help you get through your period of grief faster and with less long-term emotional damage.

Financial struggles

It could be very stressful to experience financial difficulties. Whether you lost a job, are at risk of losing your home, or are trying to recover from significant debt, you will feel like the problem is difficult to handle. In times like these, praying to God will help you realize that there are much more important things in life than man-made financial systems.

Illnesses

Being sick or having a loved one who is dealing with an illness can be stressful and traumatizing. When you struggle to understand why you or your loved one is suffering, try reaching out to God for answers. You'll quickly realize that everything is part of God's plan and you must put trust in him to give you the strength that you need to get through it.

Drama/conflicts

No matter how drama-free you try to live your life, there will always be some sort of conflict that arises once in a while. By seeking comfort in God, you can avoid overreacting or feeding into the drama. Prayer is a great way to help you realize that these small problems are not worth stressing over.

Deepening Spiritual Growth

Welcome to my website. My name is Maria, and I want to share about one of the most effective spiritual growth tools I’ve ever experienced. I’m Christian and have attended church most of my life. I was taken to church as a child; I rebelled as a young adult, then found my way back again in my late twenties. I’m currently 43 years old and over the past eight years I’ve been attending small group Bible studies. These group studies have proven to be valuable tools for me. Reading and discussing scripture with a close-knit group of peers enriches my spiritual journey. I feel as though I grow in my knowledge of the Bible, and I am able to watch others grow too. Every study brings new lessons and opportunities for not only learning, but ministering. I hope you can pick up some valuable information here.
